Overview
The Kitsune and The Hatamoto is a fantasy set in medieval, feudal Japan. The Kitsune, a shape - shifting fox revered in Japanese folk lore, seeks revenge for the death of his father by a young Samurai warrior bent on fox hunting, a practice banned by the Feudal Lords for the disrespecting a deity. The reader follows the journey of the young fox and his transformation to Kitsune, at which point the tables turn on the young Samurai, now a Hatamoto, guardian of the flag and loyal officer to the Feudal Lord.
